Night she was gone By Katherine Lightwood ( A fan Poetry )
Night She was gone
By Katherine Lightwood
I wrote a fan poetry about Jane Eyre and Edward Rochester from one of my favourite classic novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte . I was very fascinated by their dark love story. And I thought to give it a little twist by writing a fan poetry. If any Bronte fan gets offended by my poetry, then I am truly sorry. I am just expressing my point of view and my imagination.
There was no moon that night,
That used to please me with it's pearly light.
Was acting all hard, stone cold and glared her all dark,
She was frightened, standing alone as her eyes spark.
So much wanted to hold her, calm her down,
But monsters of my ego and pride didn't let me frown.
Sparkles in her tears seemed lighting that pitch dark night,
My betrayal has shattered her, making her go away from my sight.
Holding that heavy trunk with her frail bony arm,
Seeing her shaking in cold, made my heart alarm.
Saying her last goodbye, she dashed through that door,
From that moment, my soul died and I fell on that cold hard floor.
That night had a smell of death mixed with a disgust of lost pride,
Her emptiness was hurting like shining sword stabbing my soul and grind.
A hue of shame stuck my face like a splattered paint of black,
Never imagined that loss would hurt that much making my pride rack.
